Over the past week we have been running a great campaign with Klout offering key influencers with a years subscription to GadgetTrak, as well as allowing them to share the perk with their followers. The response has been better than we imagined, the influencers receiving the licenses love it as well as their friends. We feel a little like Oprah.

Nationally, police believe 75 to 80 percent of all property crimes are committed by people addicted to methamphetamine, or who profit from addicts. In our experience recovering devices we have found this to ring true, so every time we recover a device for our customers we make a donation to The Meth Project. The Meth Project is a large-scale prevention program aimed at reducing first-time Meth use through public service messaging, public policy, and community outreach. Central to the program is a research-based marketing campaign that graphically communicates the risks of Meth use. If you would like to learn more about the project or make a donation yourself please vist www.methproject.org.
We’re overjoyed to announce that GadgetTrak is now being bundled with AppleCare and with other extended warranty and service plans from select retailers.

GadgetTrak is also being bundled with laptop warranties sold by Computer Warranty Services and with AppleCare service plans sold by MacForce.

Stolen911.com is back online after a bit of downtime while they made some upgrades to their systems. Stolen911 is an online database of stolen property, if your device has been stolen you can register it on their site, this provides a resource for buyers (eBay, Craigs List etc), law enforcement and pawn shops to check serial numbers of electronics and other objects that they may come across.
We have formed a strategic partnership with JustStolen.net, a free stolen property registry developed by law enforcement. When a device is stolen from our subscribers data will automatically be registered in the JustStolen.net system so that various law enforcement agencies will have extended visibility of the stolen device and increase the chances that it will be returned. We also recommend JustStolen.net to people who may have had their iPod or other device stolen, but did not have GadgetTrak software installed on the device at the time.
It is through our partnership with JustStolen.net that we hope to help enable broader communication, integration and technology. We believe that sharing information between companies who produce hot items for thieves, agencies who are tasked with registering and recovering them as well as technology companies such as our selves will better help with recards to theft prevention as well as recovery for consumers.
